vCard QR code
A vCard code puts a contact on a badge, email signature, or booth poster. Someone scans it and can save the name, phone, email, organization, and website without typing them off a card.
Logo overlay (optional)
From this device. Embeds will not include it. Error correction switches to H.
Enter a name for the contact card.
QR Board writes a vCard 3.0 payload. Name is required; the rest is optional. Keep the fields short so the code stays easy to scan at small sizes. A dense card with a long bio belongs on a webpage, not in the QR itself.
Download SVG if the mark sits next to a logo in print. PNG is enough for a phone lock screen or a slide. To reuse the same vCard on a site, copy the embed snippet from the generator.
Questions
- Which vCard version is this?
- Version 3.0, which phone cameras and contact apps still handle well. The N and FN fields are filled from the name you type.
- Can I add a photo or postal address?
- Not in this MVP. Extra fields make the code denser and harder to scan on a small sticker. Put a website in the card if people need more.
- Will both iPhone and Android save the contact?
- Current system cameras understand vCard QR codes. If a third-party scanner only shows text, copy the payload into Contacts.
