Event QR code
An event code is a small calendar invite in graphic form. Scanning it offers to save a title, start, optional end, location, and notes, which is useful on a poster, a ticket, or a meetup flyer.
Logo overlay (optional)
From this device. Embeds will not include it. Error correction switches to H.
Enter an event title.
QR Board writes a VCALENDAR / VEVENT payload. Times are floating local time: 7:00 pm on the poster stays 7:00 pm on the phone. All-day events use dates only; the end date is the last day of the event.
Keep the notes short. A long description makes a busy QR that cheap cameras miss. If people need a Zoom link or a full agenda, put a webpage in a URL code next to this one.
Questions
- What time zone is this?
- None. The time you type is stored without a zone, so calendar apps treat it as local time on the device that scans it. That matches a printed “doors at 7.”
- Is the end date included?
- For all-day events the end date is the last day, inclusive. For timed events, leave end blank if you only have a start.
- Will both iPhone and Android add the event?
- Current system cameras understand iCalendar QR codes. If a third-party scanner only shows text, copy the payload into Calendar.
