Email QR code
An email code is a mailto link in graphic form. Scanning it opens the default mail app with the address filled in, and optionally a subject and body so people are not staring at a blank compose window.
Logo overlay (optional)
From this device. Embeds will not include it. Error correction switches to H.
Enter an email address.
Use it on a “write to us” poster, a print ad with a campaign subject line, or a packing insert that asks for a serial number in the body. Keep the body short; mail apps truncate long drafts, and a large payload makes a busy QR.
This is not an inbox. We do not send the message. The code only hands the compose fields to the device. If you change the destination later, print a new code or point people at a webpage instead.
Questions
- What if the phone has no mail app set up?
- The scan still produces a mailto link. The device will ask the person to choose an app or show an error until mail is configured.
- Can I attach a file?
- No. mailto QR codes cannot carry attachments. Link to a form or a URL code if you need files.
- Are subject and body required?
- No. Address is enough. Subject and body are encoded only when you fill them.
